Overview

One of the hardest things you will have to do as a parent is preparing your child for their future. The first major decision you have to make is where they will receive their education. You may be concerned with "taking a back seat" to your child's education. You may be apprehensive about the content that your child will be learning in the classroom. At St. John's Lutheran School, we can help you put those feelings to rest.

As a community that receives all wisdom from Scripture, we believe that you, the parent, are the primary educator your children. We exist to support you in your God-given vocation. We desire to help you make the best possible decision for your child's education, character and social development, and learning environment. More importantly, we also want your child to succeed.

St. John's Waltz welcomes students from New Boston, Carleton, Flat Rock, Belleville, Wyandotte, Woodhaven, Sumpter Township, Huron Township, and other municipalities throughout Wayne and Monroe County. Our students come from a wide variety of congregations and denominations in those areas.

The best way to learn more about us (so that we can help you!) is by scheduling an Educational Success Consultation today to visit with our principal, Adrienne Gurney, and discuss the opportunties available for your student at St. John's Waltz.

Deuteronomy 4:9 -- "Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children."  (ESV)

The First Step

We know that transitions can be hard, especially on children. For this reason, our experienced staff make this process as easy as we can. The first step is to call Carol and schedule an Educational Success Consultation for your family.

This consultation is a no-obligation, simple conversation to help affirm you as a parent and discern what you can do for the future of your child's spiritual formation, character development, and academic preparation. We offer this because we are deeply committed to the success of Christian education for Christian families. Whether you choose to enroll or not, we hope that you come away with a deeper understanding of your child’s unique abilities and needs, as well as St. John's commitment to families through faith-based education.

Shadow a Student

Following your visit and free Educational Success Consultation, we will also offer you a "hands-on" approach to see what your child's experience will be at St. John's Waltz.

Both you and your child are invited to attend their potential new class and participate in the whole educational experience for a day. This allows your child to meet their potential teacher, talk to the peers in their class, see what activities they will take part it, and learn if they would like to call St. John's Waltz home.

Please schedule with us by calling our school at (734) 654-6366 and providing us with your child’s name, age, and grade level.
