Why Christian Schools?

God's Word is at the Center

A Christian school exposes all facets of knowledge to God's Word. It's a school that recognizes that Jesus came to save all people for all eternity. Through daily Bible study, devotions, discussion, prayer and memory work children are exposed to the love of God displayed in Jesus. Each and every subject takes this approach to help your child ground the reality of this creation in the saving works of Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 -- "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." (ESV)

They Share Your Values

With you, the Christian school believes that each child has a heavenly home waiting for them because of Jesus. With you, the Christian school emphasizes the importance of traditional family life and reaffirms the families who are a part of it. It ministers not only to its students, but to its parents, grandparents, and all other members of the family. With you, the Christian school desires your child to be academically excellent and prepared for their future.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 -- "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." (ESV)

Safety and Intimacy

Using the Biblical model of Law and Gospel, the Christian school practices discipline and restoration to each and every student. It has the ablity to discern the reason for any outburst or action that occurs during the school day and defuses the situation in the light of the Gospel, all the while keeping parents properly informed of what's happening at school. As an extention of the family, the Christian school provides the reassurance and comfort that one expects from the family.

Proverbs 22:6 -- "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." (ESV)

Teachers Model Christ

Scripture teaches that pastors are to be above reproach, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a lover of money, be dignified, and properly manage their own household. The same is true of a Christian school teacher. The teachers of a Christian school model Jesus in how they educate your child, mentor them spiritually, and encourage them in every extra activity.

1 Timothy 4:7-8 -- "Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." (ESV)

Investment of the Future

Children are the greatest of blessings God provides in this creation. A Christian school is one that provides your child with the environment to believe they are a blessing. Graduating students from a Christian school recognize their value, the value of education, and the love of God so that as they enter future education and their vocations they demonstrate servant leadership and a desire to do the very best that they can.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 -- "From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (ESV)
